Waking up late in the morning, was once a luxury I could not afford, what with two of the most cardinal phases of life demanding utmost dedication, hard work and truck loads of perseverance . High school and college graduations are embryonic stages of one's journey to maturity, the first two tentative steps towards a world of possibilities, opportunities and most importantly, a world that revolves around choice. Choosing what to be or not to be and (it's flabbergasting how Shakespeare summarized the dilemmas of human psyche with just one aphorism), whether to be oneself or someone else just for the approval of others. Mind boggling as it may sound, most people will say ''You are the choices that you make'' in life, and to some extent, fortunately or unfortunately, the statement carries a semblance of truth. It is during these few years that we stand at crossroads, and often grapple with the immeasurable dichotomies between reality and expectations. Suddenly life isn't anymore about choosing between the the red and black remote control cars, or two equally tantalizing flavors of ice cream, or two gorgeous dresses and pair of wedges. The realization that there's so much more to life than these trivial things, is overwhelming in its own way, while we juggle the new found independence and responsibilities that accompany adulthood. ''Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.'' It's a cliche, but mind you, Forrest Gump was right.
It's how you much you relish the chocolate, not the filling inside it...
Little do we know what life holds in store, but that's the beauty of it isn't it?
The uncertainty, unpredictability and mutability, is what makes living worth it.
And for those who seek perfection in something as fleeting,
The world is imperfect.
And that's why there's Jannah...
